Book A Ride (“Book A Ride,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy, security, and confidentiality of the personal information entrusted to us by riders, drivers, corporate clients, vendor partners, and all users of our transportation platform.
This Privacy Policy explains how Book A Ride collects, uses, stores, discloses, and safeguards personal information obtained through our mobile applications, website, transportation services, corporate transportation programs, customer support channels, marketing activities, and related services.
By creating an account, accessing our platforms, or using our services in any capacity, you acknowledge and agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use our services.
2. SCOPE
This Privacy Policy applies to all individuals who interact with Book A Ride through any of the following:
- Book A Ride mobile applications (iOS and Android)
- Book A Ride website (https://bookaridegy.com)
- Transportation services provided through the platform
- Corporate transportation programs and booking portals
- Airport transfer and hotel transportation services
- Driver and vendor partner onboarding and management processes
- Customer support channels and interactions
- Marketing, advertising, and promotional activities
- Any other service or programme offered by Book A Ride
3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Book A Ride collects information directly from users, information generated through the use of our services, and information received from authorized third parties. The categories of information we collect include the following:
3.1 Account Information
When creating an account, users are required to provide certain personal information, which may include:
- Full name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Date of birth
- Residential address
- Profile photograph
- Emergency contact information
3.2 Identity Verification Information
To verify user accounts and maintain platform safety and integrity, Book A Ride requires identity verification before account activation. This process may require the submission of:
- National Identification Card
- Passport
- Driver’s Licence
- Other government-issued identification documents
- Photographs submitted for identity verification purposes
Identity documents are processed solely for the purpose of verifying a user’s identity. Book A Ride takes reasonable measures to handle such information with appropriate care and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
3.3 Trip and Service Information
Information relating to transportation services may be collected before, during, and after each trip, including:
- Pickup and drop-off locations
- Ride history and booking records
- Trip duration and route information
- Driver and vehicle information
- Fare and transaction details
- Customer feedback, ratings, and reviews
- Support requests, complaints, and incident reports
3.4 Device and Technical Information
When users access our applications or website, we may automatically collect:
- Device type, model, and manufacturer
- Operating system and version
- Browser type and version
- IP address
- Device identifiers and advertising identifiers
- Mobile network information
- Application usage data and session information
- Diagnostic data, crash logs, and performance analytics
3.5 Communication Information
We may collect records of communications with Book A Ride and between users on the platform, including:
- Emails and written correspondence
- SMS messages
- In-app notifications — system-generated alerts, booking confirmations, trip status updates, and platform communications delivered through the application
The platform supports in-app messaging between different parties. The retention and accessibility of these communications varies depending on the parties involved, as follows:
- Passenger and Customer Support Representative (CSR): In-app chat messages between a passenger and a Book A Ride CSR are cleared from Book A Ride’s systems on a daily basis. Passengers may retain access to their own chat history from their device, but Book A Ride does not maintain an ongoing backend record of these conversations beyond the daily clearance cycle.
- CSR and Driver: In-app chat messages between a Book A Ride CSR and a driver are retained on the platform. However, access to this chat history is only available when the driver is actively online on the platform. Chat records in this category are subject to Book A Ride’s standard data retention and access control policies.
- Passenger and Driver: In-app chat messages exchanged directly between a passenger and a driver are cleared automatically upon the conclusion of the relevant trip. Neither party retains access to this chat history through the platform after the trip has ended.
Where a user wishes to submit a chat record in connection with a formal complaint, safety report, or support request, they are responsible for preserving their own copy prior to any applicable clearance. Book A Ride may accept user-submitted chat records as part of an investigation but does not independently retrieve cleared communications for such purposes.

4. LOCATION DATA
Location information is fundamental to the operation of Book A Ride’s services. We collect and process location data before, during, and after a trip to facilitate the following:
- Ride matching and driver dispatch
- Real-time navigation and routing
- Live trip tracking for riders and authorized contacts
- Safety monitoring and emergency response
- Customer support and dispute resolution
- Fraud detection and prevention
- Service quality analysis and improvement
Location information is obtained through user mobile devices (subject to device permissions), vehicle-installed GPS equipment, and related technologies. Book A Ride limits access to location information to authorized personnel and service providers with a legitimate operational need.
Users may control location permissions through their device settings; however, disabling location services may limit the functionality of the Book A Ride platform.
5. VEHICLE MONITORING AND DRIVER MONITORING TECHNOLOGIES
For safety, security, operational management, quality assurance, and incident investigation purposes, certain vehicles operating on the Book A Ride platform may be equipped with monitoring technologies. Users are advised that by using Book A Ride services they may be subject to monitoring while inside vehicles or during trips.
5.1 Technologies in Use
Monitoring technologies deployed within vehicles may include, but are not limited to:
- GPS tracking systems — for real-time and historical location tracking of vehicles
- Vehicle telematics systems — for monitoring vehicle performance, speed, acceleration, and driving behaviour
- Dash cameras — for external road-facing video capture
- Interior cameras — for in-cabin video recording
- Audio recording equipment — for in-cabin audio capture
5.2 Data Collected Through Monitoring Technologies
These monitoring systems may collect:
- Vehicle location (real-time and historical)
- Vehicle speed and acceleration data
- Driver behaviour data (e.g., harsh braking, sharp turns)
- In-cabin video recordings (driver and passenger activity)
- External video recordings (road and surrounding environment)
- Audio recordings of in-vehicle interactions
- Time, date, and trip-related event data
5.3 Use of Monitoring Data
Information collected through vehicle monitoring technologies may be reviewed and used when reasonably necessary to:
- Investigate accidents, incidents, or safety events
- Investigate and resolve customer or driver complaints
- Respond to safety concerns or emergencies
- Detect and prevent fraudulent activity or misuse of the platform
- Resolve fare or trip disputes
- Support insurance claims and legal proceedings
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
- Improve operational safety and driver performance standards
5.4 Retention of Monitoring Data
Audio and video recordings are retained for a limited period as required for operational and safety purposes, and are deleted in accordance with Book A Ride’s data retention schedule. Access to such recordings is restricted to authorized personnel only.
By using Book A Ride services, users acknowledge that trips may be subject to video and audio recording and GPS monitoring for legitimate safety and operational purposes.
5.5 Notice of Recording
Book A Ride provides advance notice that certain vehicles operating on the platform may utilize audio recording systems, video recording systems, GPS monitoring, telematics technologies, and other safety-related monitoring equipment. Notice of such monitoring may be provided through one or more of the following methods:
- This Privacy Policy
- The Book A Ride Terms and Conditions
- In-application notifications presented before or during the booking process
- Signage, decals, stickers, or notices displayed within or on vehicles
- Other communications provided by Book A Ride from time to time
Users are encouraged to review these notices prior to using the platform or entering a vehicle operating on the Book A Ride network.
If a user does not wish to proceed with transportation services after receiving notice of recording and monitoring practices, the user may cancel the ride request in accordance with the applicable Book A Ride cancellation policies. Where Book A Ride determines, in its sole discretion, that a cancellation is directly related to concerns regarding vehicle monitoring practices, Book A Ride may offer a refund or waiver of applicable cancellation charges.
The operation of safety and monitoring systems is a standard component of Book A Ride’s safety, security, compliance, and incident response framework and cannot be selectively disabled for individual trips.
5.6 Data Minimization
Book A Ride applies the principle of data minimization to its vehicle monitoring and surveillance practices. We collect only the footage, audio, and telematics data that is reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy. Monitoring systems are configured and managed to avoid the collection of information that is excessive or unrelated to the safety, security, and operational objectives outlined herein.
5.7 Prohibition on Marketing Use of Recordings
Audio recordings, video recordings, and telematics data collected through vehicle monitoring technologies are strictly prohibited from use for advertising, marketing, promotional, or any other commercial purposes unrelated to safety, security, and legitimate operational investigations. Book A Ride will not use in-trip recordings to profile users for marketing purposes, share such recordings with advertising partners, or derive commercial insights from individual recording content.
6.SAFETY, SECURITY, AND LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Book A Ride is committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and trustworthy transportation platform. This section describes the additional safety and compliance measures applied across the platform and the circumstances under which personal information may be used or disclosed for safety and legal purposes.
6.1 Driver Screening and Background Checks
To maintain the safety and integrity of the platform, Book A Ride conducts driver screening and verification procedures before onboarding drivers and, where appropriate, on an ongoing basis. These procedures may include:
- Identity verification
- Driver’s licence validation
- Vehicle registration verification
- Insurance verification
- Police clearance where permitted by applicable law
- Driving history reviews where available
- Ongoing eligibility monitoring
Information used in these screening processes may be obtained from drivers directly, governmental authorities, licensing agencies, law enforcement agencies, insurance providers, or authorized third-party screening service providers. Drivers may be required to periodically update their documentation or undergo additional verification procedures to maintain their eligibility to operate on the platform.
6.2 Emergency Contact Information
Users may voluntarily provide emergency contact information through the platform. Emergency contact information may be accessed and used in the following circumstances:
- During emergencies involving user safety during or related to a trip
- Following serious accidents or incidents involving a user
- Where there is a reasonable concern regarding a user’s welfare
- As otherwise required or permitted by applicable law
Book A Ride will make reasonable efforts to limit the use of emergency contact information to legitimate safety-related purposes and will not use emergency contact details for marketing or unrelated operational communications.
6.3 Ride Safety Monitoring and Incident Investigation
Book A Ride may monitor and review information associated with trips and platform activity when necessary to investigate safety concerns, resolve disputes, or take corrective action. Information that may be reviewed in such circumstances includes:
- Trip details and booking records
- GPS and route information
- Communications conducted through the platform
- Safety reports and incident reports submitted by users
- Audio and video recordings collected pursuant to Section 5A
Such information may be reviewed to investigate:
- Customer complaints and service disputes
- Safety concerns reported by riders, drivers, or third parties
- Accidents and road incidents
- Allegations of harassment, threatening behaviour, or misconduct
- Fraudulent activity or misuse of the platform
- Violations of applicable policies, terms of service, or contractual agreements
- Any other incidents affecting users, drivers, or the platform
6.4 Disclosure to Law Enforcement and Government Authorities
Book A Ride may disclose personal information, trip information, location data, audio recordings, video recordings, account information, or other relevant records where reasonably necessary or legally required in the following circumstances:
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, warrants, summons, or other lawful legal process
- To investigate or assist in the investigation of suspected criminal activity
- To respond to emergencies involving threats to the life, health, or safety of any individual
- To protect the rights, property, or security of Book A Ride, its users, drivers, or the general public
- To prevent, detect, or investigate fraud, abuse, or unlawful conduct on the platform
Where legally permitted and operationally appropriate, Book A Ride will endeavour to notify affected users before responding to requests for their personal information from law enforcement or government authorities. This notification may not always be possible where prohibited by law or where the matter involves urgent safety concerns.
6.5 Safety Reporting and Emergency Assistance
Users may report safety concerns, misconduct, accidents, emergencies, or other incidents through the platform or by contacting Book A Ride customer support. Information submitted through safety reports may be used to:
- Investigate the reported incident
- Coordinate with or assist emergency responders where applicable
- Take corrective or disciplinary action against users or drivers
- Suspend or remove individuals from the platform
- Comply with legal reporting or disclosure obligations
- Improve platform safety, security, and operational standards
Records relating to safety incidents, complaints, and investigations may be retained for extended periods where reasonably necessary to investigate claims, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or protect the interests of affected parties. Extended retention periods for safety-related records are reflected in Book A Ride’s Surveillance Recording Retention Schedule set out in Section 6.
7. SURVEILLANCE RECORDING RETENTION SCHEDULE
Book A Ride maintains a defined retention schedule for recordings and monitoring data captured through vehicle surveillance and monitoring systems. The following general guidelines apply:
- Routine trip recordings (audio and video) — On-device storage: recordings are stored on physical memory cards installed in vehicles for approximately thirty (30) hours, after which they may be overwritten in the ordinary course of operations. Cloud backup: recordings are simultaneously or periodically backed up to Book A Ride’s secure cloud storage environment and retained for thirty (30) days from the date of the trip, unless the recording has been flagged in connection with an incident, complaint, or investigation, in which case the extended retention periods set out below apply.
- Recordings associated with reported incidents, complaints, or accidents: retained for the duration of any investigation and any associated legal proceedings, or for a minimum of seven (7) years, whichever is longer.
- GPS and telematics data: retained for 6 months for standard operational purposes, and extended where required for legal, insurance, or dispute resolution purposes.
- Recordings subject to a legal hold or regulatory inquiry: retained until the hold is lifted or the matter is resolved.
Access to surveillance recordings is restricted to authorized Book A Ride personnel, legal representatives, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities where legally required. Recordings will not be shared with third parties outside of these defined categories without the consent of the individuals recorded or as required by law.
Book A Ride reserves the right to amend this retention schedule in accordance with applicable law and operational requirements.
8. PAYMENT INFORMATION
Book A Ride offers various payment options, including cash and electronic payment methods such as debit card, credit card, and other digital payment instruments.
Electronic card payments are processed exclusively through authorized third-party payment service providers. These providers are responsible for the secure handling, processing, and storage of payment card information in accordance with applicable payment card industry standards (PCI DSS) and their own privacy and security policies.
Book A Ride does not intentionally collect, store, or retain complete payment card numbers, card security codes (CVV/CVC), PIN numbers, or other sensitive payment credentials. Limited transactional information, such as the last four digits of a card, transaction reference numbers, and payment status, may be retained by Book A Ride for billing, record-keeping, and customer support purposes.
Users are advised to review the privacy and security policies of the applicable payment service provider for details on how their payment card information is handled. Book A Ride assumes no liability for the security practices of third-party payment processors beyond the reasonable contractual and due-diligence obligations it maintains with such providers.
9. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Book A Ride uses the personal information it collects for purposes that are reasonably necessary to operate its services and fulfil its obligations to users. These purposes include:

- Creating and managing user accounts
- Verifying user identities prior to account activation
- Facilitating ride bookings and dispatching drivers
- Providing real-time tracking and navigation
- Processing payments and managing billing
- Delivering and improving transportation services
- Managing corporate transportation accounts and programmes
9.2 Safety and Security
- Monitoring vehicle operations and driver behaviour
- Detecting and preventing fraud, misuse, or abuse of the platform
- Investigating accidents, safety incidents, and complaints
- Supporting emergency response operations
- Enforcing platform policies and terms of service
9.3 Customer Support and Communication
- Responding to support requests and resolving disputes
- Communicating service updates, alerts, and notifications
- Collecting and acting on user feedback
9.4 Legal and Regulatory Compliance
- Complying with applicable laws and regulations
- Responding to court orders, government requests, and regulatory inquiries
- Supporting legal proceedings, insurance claims, and investigations
9.5 Business Operations and Improvement
- Conducting data analytics and operational analysis
- Developing and improving platform features and services
- Managing relationships with drivers, vendor partners, and corporate clients
10. CORPORATE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
Where transportation services are provided under a corporate account arrangement, Book A Ride may share certain trip-related information with authorized representatives of the corporate client for the purposes of service administration, reporting, and billing. Such information may include:
- Ride activity and usage summaries
- Trip records and route information
- Billing information and invoice details
- Transportation analytics and reporting data
Information shared with corporate clients will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the administration of the corporate transportation programme and the fulfilment of contractual obligations. Corporate clients who access trip information about employees or affiliated users are responsible for ensuring their own compliance with applicable privacy laws and internal policies. And shall absolutely indemnify Book A Ride from any and all liabilities arising from their interaction with the confidential information stated therein however and for whatever purpose the information maybe used.
10.1 Corporate Portal User Responsibilities
Individuals who are granted access to Book A Ride’s corporate booking portal or administrative dashboard (“Corporate Portal Users”) agree to the following responsibilities:
- Corporate Portal Users must not access, download, or share trip data for purposes outside of legitimate business administration.
- Corporate Portal Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their portal credentials and must not share login details with unauthorized persons. And shall absolutely indemnify Book A Ride from any and all liabilities arising from their breach of this section however and for whatever reason the breach may have occur.
- Any suspected unauthorized access to the corporate portal must be reported to Book A Ride immediately.
- Corporate clients are responsible for ensuring that their designated portal users have received appropriate training on data privacy obligations. And corporate clients shall ensure that the policies and guidelines stated herein are strictly adhered by each of their users.
- Book A Ride reserves the right to suspend or revoke corporate portal access in the event of a suspected breach or misuse of the platform.
Book A Ride recommends that all corporate clients implement their own internal data access controls and privacy policies governing the use of transportation data obtained through the Book A Ride platform. Which should be just as stringent as the policies contained herein if not stronger.
11. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Book A Ride’s services are intended for use by adults (persons 18 years of age and older). However, Book A Ride recognizes that in certain circumstances, minors may utilize its transportation services where rides are arranged by a parent, guardian, educational institution, employer, or other authorized adult.
11.1 Arrangements Involving Minors
Where transportation is arranged for a minor, the parent, guardian, or responsible adult arranging the service is responsible for:
- Ensuring that appropriate consents have been obtained for the minor’s use of the platform and associated data collection practices described in this Privacy Policy.
- Supervising the minor’s interaction with the Book A Ride platform where applicable.
- Reviewing this Privacy Policy on behalf of the minor to ensure suitability for the minor’s use case.
11.2 Data Minimization for Minors
Book A Ride does not knowingly collect more personal information from minors than is reasonably necessary to provide safe and effective transportation services. Where we become aware that personal information has been collected from a minor without appropriate parental or guardian consent, we will take steps to review and, where appropriate, delete such information. Book A Ride is therefore not to be held liable for incidental and or accidental collection of excessive information from minors.
11.3 Parental Rights
Parents and guardians of minors who have used Book A Ride services may contact Book A Ride to:
- Request access to personal information collected about the minor.
- Request the correction or deletion of such information, subject to applicable legal limitations.
- Raise concerns about the minor’s use of the platform.

12. MARKETING, ADVERTISING, AND ANALYTICS
Book A Ride may use information collected through its platform to communicate promotions, service updates, marketing campaigns, and related advertising opportunities to users. Marketing communications may be delivered via email, SMS, in-app notifications, and other channels.
Users may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by:
- Following the unsubscribe instructions contained within the communication; or
- Contacting Book A Ride directly using the contact details provided in Section 22.
Book A Ride may operate advertising programmes and related promotional services, including through third-party advertising partners. Information used for advertising and analytics purposes will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
12.1 Advertising & Analytics (Book Advertise)
Where Book A Ride operates or facilitates an advertising platform or programme (“Book Advertise” or similar), the following practices apply:
- Aggregated and anonymized data may be used to generate audience insights for advertisers. No personally identifiable information will be shared with advertisers without user’s explicit consent.
- Third-party analytics tools may be integrated into the platform to measure advertising performance, campaign reach, and user engagement. Such tools are governed by the privacy policies of the respective providers.
- Users may, where technically available, access platform settings to limit interest-based advertising or opt out of certain data uses for advertising purposes.
- In the absence of so doing, Book A Ride reserves the right to generalize and use the data collected herein for its own purposes.
13. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
Book A Ride does not sell personal information to third parties. However, we may share personal information with the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
13.1 Service Providers
We engage authorized third-party vendors and service providers to support platform operations. These providers may have access to personal information only to the extent necessary to perform their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations. Services may include:
- Payment processing
- Cloud hosting and data storage
- Telecommunications and messaging services
- Analytics and performance monitoring
- Customer support infrastructure
- Identity verification services
- Mapping, navigation, and geolocation services
13.2 Business Partners

- Drivers and vehicle operators on the platform

- Corporate clients and institutional customers
- Hotels, airports, and other partner venues providing transportation coordination services
13.3 Legal and Regulatory Authorities
Personal information may be disclosed to government bodies, regulatory authorities, or law enforcement agencies where required by applicable law, court order, legal process, or regulatory investigation.
13.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, Book A Ride reserves the right to transfer all data validly collected via the policies contained herein, to any and all successors in title and that successor in title is empowered to further transfer the said data to future successors in title and so on. Users will be notified of such a transfer through appropriate channels where required by law.
12.5 Fleet Partners and Vehicle Operators
Book A Ride may provide transportation services through vehicles owned, leased, managed, or operated by Book A Ride directly, as well as through fleet partners, vendors, contractors, or independent owner-operators who operate vehicles on the platform. Personal information, trip information, location data, audio recordings, video recordings, and related operational data collected through the Book A Ride platform remain subject to this Privacy Policy regardless of the ownership or operating arrangement of the vehicle through which a trip is conducted.
Such data may be processed by Book A Ride and its authorized service providers for the purposes described in this Policy. Fleet partners and vehicle operators who have access to platform data are required to comply with applicable data protection obligations under their agreements with Book A Ride and are not permitted to use personal information collected through the platform for purposes outside of those authorized by Book A Ride or in accordance with the policies contained herein.
Users interacting with Book A Ride through a fleet partner arrangement retain the same privacy rights described in this Policy as users interacting directly with Book A Ride-operated vehicles.
13. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND INTEGRATIONS
Book A Ride utilizes a range of third-party technologies and service providers to support the functionality, performance, and reliability of its platform. These integrations may vary over time as the platform evolves.
13.1 Types of Third-Party Integrations
Third-party integrations currently in use or planned may include services relating to:
- Mapping, navigation, and geolocation (e.g., Google Maps or equivalent providers)
- Flight tracking and airport coordination (e.g., FlightAware or equivalent providers)
- Messaging, SMS, and communications (e.g., Twilio or equivalent providers)
- Payment processing (e.g., Stripe)
- Cloud infrastructure and data hosting
- Analytics and business intelligence
- User authentication and identity verification
- Customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Other operational technology partners as required from time to time
The list above is illustrative and not exhaustive. Additional third-party integrations may be added from time to time as Book A Ride’s services develop.
13.2 Third-Party Privacy Practices
The privacy practices of third-party service providers are governed by their own privacy policies and terms of service. Book A Ride is not responsible for the privacy or data security practices of third-party providers, but shall take reasonable steps to ensure that service providers with access to personal information are subject to appropriate contractual obligations regarding data protection.
Users who interact directly with third-party services integrated into the Book A Ride platform are encouraged to review the applicable third-party privacy policies.
14. CROSS-BORDER DATA PROCESSING
Book A Ride is headquartered in Guyana and primarily serves users located within Guyana. However, certain service providers, technology platforms, cloud infrastructure, payment processors, and other third-party vendors used by Book A Ride may be located outside of Guyana.
As a result, personal information collected through the Book A Ride platform may be processed, stored, or transferred to jurisdictions outside of Guyana where such processing is necessary for the operation of our services. This includes, but is not limited to, the processing of electronic payment card transactions through internationally-based payment service providers.
Where personal information is transferred outside of Guyana, Book A Ride will take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate contractual, technical, or organizational safeguards are in place to protect personal information and that such transfers are conducted in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
By using Book A Ride’s services and providing personal information, users acknowledge that their information may be processed in jurisdictions outside of their country of residence, where data protection laws may differ. And in such circumstances the user may not benefit from the protections and safeguards contained herein.
15. DATA RETENTION
Book A Ride retains personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Factors that determine retention periods include:
- The nature and sensitivity of the information
- The purpose for which the information was collected and the continued need for it
- Contractual and legal obligations
- Applicable statutes of limitations
- Regulatory and compliance requirements
- Active dispute, investigation, or legal proceedings involving the information

16. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION PROCEDURES
Book A Ride maintains internal procedures for identifying, assessing, and responding to personal data breaches or security incidents involving personal information. 16.1 Internal Response
- Upon becoming aware of a suspected or confirmed data breach, Book A Ride will take steps to contain the breach and begin an initial assessment of its nature and scope within twenty-four (24) hours of becoming aware of the incident.
- The incident will be escalated to the relevant internal team responsible for data security and privacy, who will lead the investigation into the cause, scope, and impact of the breach.

- Where the internal assessment identifies that the breach is likely to affect the rights or privacy of individuals, the matter will be escalated for assessment under Sections 16.2 and 16.3 of this Policy without undue delay.
16.2 Notification to Affected Individuals
Where a data breach is likely to result in a high risk to the rights and privacy of affected individuals, Book A Ride will notify those individuals without undue delay and in any event within a reasonable period following confirmation that their personal information has been affected. The timeframe for notification will reflect the nature, severity, and scope of the breach, with more serious incidents prioritised accordingly. Notification may be delivered by email, in-app notification, or other appropriate means, and will include:
- A description of the nature of the breach

- Measures taken or proposed to address the breach
- Contact information for further queries
16.3 Regulatory Notification
Where required by applicable law, Book A Ride will notify the relevant regulatory or data protection authority of a data breach within the timeframes prescribed by law.

This period reflects the time reasonably required to update systems and cease the relevant processing across Book A Ride’s operational infrastructure. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

Book A Ride collects and processes personal information about its employees, contractors, drivers, and other engaged personnel for the purposes of employment administration, payroll, performance management, safety compliance, and related operational needs.
Drivers operating on the Book A Ride platform are subject to additional data collection practices as set out in this Privacy Policy, including vehicle monitoring technologies described in Section 5.
